Cathair na bhFionnúrach

It’s been a while….

Finally got out today and headed back down to Dingle. The last time I was actually out was the Hungry Hill attempt, it’s the longest spell of not being out I think i’ve ever had, it’s so frustrating….

Anyway, after the Cashelkeelty video with the standing stones I went onto YouTube searching out some info on it and came across another interesting channel with info on a place, Cathair na bhFionnurach, on the western slopes of Mount Brandon,,,,, what in the hell????
i’ve passed by the signpost for this place a few times but never knew what it was. Have to say I was completely gobsmacked when I saw the YouTube video on it. Watch it here >> Cathair Fionnúrach and the Kingdom of Corcu Duibne

I didn’t make a video or anything, just headed out for a day with the camera and to visit this place in particular.
Called into a few other place while down there, Cumeenole, Dunquin, Clogher Beach, Doonen Pier and finally Cathair na bhFionnurach. Watching the video above really added to it.

Here are some images I got of the day. Even with the 14mm lens it was not possible to get the whole lot in,, will have to head down with the drone at some stage. Looking at the orientation it could be a good spot for sunset, conditions allowing, but i’m not sure if you can get East enough due to the field boundaries etc….

If you’ve got this far, some more on what’s going on and th lack of videos

It is for a main reason of my motivation is pretty low at the moment.

I’m working on a thing at home that’s taking ages, i’m not really sure what I’m at with it, my procrastination and indecision is verging on ridiculous, and I just can’t wait to get it over and done with. On the plus side, once this is finished it will allow me get out a lot more… hopefully….
Leading onto my next issue… lack of fitness. Haven’t been able to work on it for the above two reasons and just to add to it, my knee is giving me serious problems at the moment, caused by the above, and mountains are out of the question. That’s playing on my head more than anything else
Let’s not forget the weather is appalling also,,,, so tired of it now at this stage….
And finally i’m heading away travelling for a month so, and not sure if there’ll be videos on that or not yet… So it could be a while yet before anything.

It might not seem it, but i’ve put so much effort into the YouTube stuff, and its really getting to me that I can’t get out and do more for the last while…

we’ll try get there….

If you’ve got this far,

thanks for reading and for the continued support

It’s all very much appreciated
