Outdoors Overview

I need to preface all this by saying i am not an expert, guide or anyone that should be listened to regarding hiking. What i am doing has so far worked for me, but you must use your own judgement if going to any of the places i have visited.

Useful Resources

MountainViews.ie

This is probably the most useful site for hillwalking in Ireland. It has a massive wealth of information regarding mountains and routes.
At first it is a bit clunky to use but you get used to it. Using it on a computer is the best.
Trying to do anything with maps on mobile is frustrating to say the least.

You might be able to tell from the images , but i’ve spent most of my time walking in the Dingle Peninsula. This site is brilliant for everything on the peninsula, especially the parts away from the main Slea Head area and is like mini wikipedia containing the info and history of the area. I don’t know anyone involved, but i have used this as much as MountainViews and whoever maintains it should be given some sort of award.
10/10.
